hi there Harriet, I will read all of a long blog only if the post is SUPER intresting but other than that I normaly switch off and skim though it. I do read smaller blog (500-750 words) from start to finish.

yeh complex words are a bit of a turn off

I agree very much with your KISS philosophy, very long blogs can get boring and people can loose interest and just switch off and not get to the end.

I also agree with what you have to say about not using long words – if you want to appeal to a big audience there is no point in using long complex words that people won’t understand as they won’t want to read your blog!

no I don’t use AdSense because if you’re not earning at least $100 per month from AdSense then there’s no point in having it on your website because it takes up valuable that can be used to add value to your visitors.

I’ve got a guest post coming out on ” famous blogger” in a few days time which talks all about AdSense on your website.
