In this article I’m going to share with you eight powerful tips on how you can become more productive in your blogging exploits.
Some of the tips that I share you may already know BUT we always need a refresher so that we can get ourselves focused and back on the path to success.
1. Take action with what you’ve learnt
I can speak about this one from experience. You can spend hours upon hours in forums and websites reading information about what you want to do. But there has to come a point when you take what you’ve learnt and put into action.
Don’t get me wrong but reading and learning is very important but sometimes you can get stuck in information overload and this will not help you at all.
If you do not use what you have learnt then you will just around circles and nothing will change.
2. Checking stats will kill your productivity
This is another one is from experience that is checking your stats too much i.e. Google analytics and other stats regarding your progress.
You have to stop obsessing over your stats and instead work on your blog and on things that will help to improve your stats.
This is going to be hard to do but try and only check your stats once or twice a day maximum.
3. You must focus on higher impact tasks first
Always use your energy completing the tasks that will help you get closer to your goals. One of the most important goals for every blogger is to increase readership and visitors to your site.
Spending three hours in a forum or surfing the Internet for excessive amounts of time will not help you to achieve or complete your high impact tasks.
One of your main focuses as a blogger is to create amazing content for your site. This is definitely a high impact task.
4. Keep focused and try not to get distracted
We live in a fast moving digital age and it is easy to lose focus and get distracted from completing our daily goals.
It is very easy to spend hours on Facebook, Twitter and on other social media sites.
You have to try your best to shut out every destruction or time enemy
5. Turn off your TV
A lot of people say they are too busy to update their blog or do other things that will help improve their quality of life but they still seem to have enough time to sit down and watch the telly for hours
There is nothing wrong with watching TV but just make sure you limit how much of it you watch because watching telly is not going to help you reach your blogging goals
6. Forget using a rigid schedule
Try not to set to higher goals for yourself concerning your blog because if you’re schedule is too strict or rigid you may give up on your blog together. Just a to write at least one amazing blog post per week for that is far better than seven mediocre ones.
7. Good health
Eating the right out of food and taking them to exercise and having enough sleep at night will always improve your focus on productivity. I know it’s not a groundbreaking tip and you have heard it all before but it really does work.
Also try to work out what time of the day you are most productive and full of energy because that would be the best time to work on your blog.
8. Write articles about your passion
This one is quite straightforward but not that many people do it. Some people blog about the topic they have no knowledge on and hence after a short while they stop blogging.
So it’s always a good idea to blog about what you are passionate about because it will be easy for you to come up with great content.
And because it’s your passion you will never get tired speaking, writing or telling others about it.
Like I said in tip number one take action and implement these tips and your blog will go to a whole new level.
